Product Details
Awesome unique Tsavorite and yellow and white diamond ring set in 18ct yellow and white gold. The Tsavorite belongs to the Garnet family, Tsavorite is one of the least-known and currently most under-valued of all gemstones. This unusual ring is set with a centre cushion-cut Tsavorite of rich deep bright green hues. It is a real connoisseur’s and collector’s gem, first discovered in 1967, and then again in 1971 when it was named after the Tsavo Game Reserve in Kenya. Today, it can be found in Kenya, Tanzania and Madagascar. With limited availability, along with eye-catching brilliance and spectacular colour, tsavorite is one of the most desirable, emerging gemstones of the present time. For a choice of magnificent green-hued gemstones, the tsavorite equals a rating of 7.5 on the Mohs scale of gem hardness with emerald but is a far less sensitive gemstone than an emerald.
Yellow diamonds: not all diamonds are ‘white’. Diamonds can be found in a full rainbow spectrum of colours and these are referred to as ‘Fancy coloured diamonds’ These vivid yellow diamonds are brilliant-cut and complement the centre lush green hues of the Tsavorite, reminiscent of the Tsavo Game Reserve after the rainy season, with their warm sunny tones: nature at its best! with white diamonds completing the design
