Product Details
Elegant fine royal blue Ceylon Sapphire of triple AAA quality in a soft cushion-cut shape with diamond halo and shoulders.
Of all the sapphire colour shades, it is the blue hue that remains so well recognised and of great popularity. This blue sapphire originates from Sri Lanka, and Sapphires from there are still referred to as Ceylon Sapphires (the previous name of Sri Lanka). They are known for being lighter, brighter, and more vivid than the dark blue sapphires that come from other parts of the world. This Sapphire is a very warm and vibrant lively royal blue gemstone of the highest quality. The cushion-cut shape gives a very modern contemporary look from the more usual classical oval shape of most sapphires set in rings, it is enhanced in this ring by a delicate halo of fine white brilliant cut diamonds and also set to the shoulders. A well known certain Royal sapphire and diamond engagement ring, now the engagement ring of the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate, has a large centre fine 12ct oval Ceylon Sapphire originating from Sri Lanka, surrounded by fourteen small brilliant cut diamonds. Our sapphire ring is more contemporary in design than the royal engagement ring, certainly at a more affordable price point but is by no means any less beautiful. It waits patiently for an appreciative new owner.
