Types of Engagement Rings Available from Michael Platt
Classic engagement ring – this is a classic band with a gemstone or diamond on top. The stone can be any size and you can use many types of metal or stones in a vintage or contemporary style.
Three stone engagement ring – this is a band which has three stones to the top. There is usually one larger stone in the middle and two slightly smaller stones either side of it, or three stones of the same size.
Solitaire engagement ring – this is where the stone is centred on the band and is the main feature of the ring without any accent stones and is mostly set with a brilliant cut diamond.
Halo engagement ring – this is a band with a centred diamond or gemstone with a total halo surround of other stones. You can have one or more layers of halos around the outside.
Cluster ring – this is a band where the main design is made up of a cluster of smaller diamonds or gemstones. The shape is usually a floral or cluster shape, hence the name.
Twister engagement ring – a band with a main diamond or gemstone in the middle, with a twist design either side of the stone, creating a contemporary effect.
